Ecuador... was awesome.

Here's a brief description of my time in Ecuador; if you want more 'in-depth'

stuff, check out the September thru December entries in my blog...

I left on September 6th from Portland to stay with a host family in Quito, Ecuador

and volunteer at the REMAR orphanage (REMAR website). See title.

I learned how to teach, how to speak Spanish, how to survive in a semi-dangerous

city, how not to drive, some stuff about South American culture, some stuff about

South American men, some stuff about South American music. Such as the charango;

a freakin' cool little guitar thingy, usually made out of an armadillo back, with ten strings,

about the size of a mandolin.

I made friends from other parts of the U.S., I made friends from Germany, I made friends

from Australia, I made friends from Canada, I made friends from Austria and Switzerland, with

whom I went to the beach with:

(Umm, coming soon? Here's one not of them to tide you over:)

I made friends with Colombians:

I saw the middle of the world,

I sat on top of the world,

I breathed the best air, the worst air, saw the best sights...

And if I go anymore I'll overload the website's bandwidth, so you'll

have to visit my photobucket dealie and map to see the rest! So, adios! Until my next endeavor...

... kidding! (Maybe...)
